Mary
Hi, I’m Mary! I have a passion for travel & making memories. I started “World Between Travel” with the intention of it being a travel journal where we could take a look back at some of our travels (near or far) & encourage others to do the same.
I graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and have worked in marketing for 4+ years, enjoying travels every chance I get! I’m originally from North Carolina but moved to Colorado in 2019 followed by another move to Arizona in 2021 THEN another move to Maryland in 2023 where we’re currently living!
Long story short, I’m a big believer in when you step outside your comfort zone and trust in the process, everything will turn out greater than you could ever expect – follow your passion people!
Favorite Destination: Faroe Islands
Favorite Way to Travel: Airplane
Best Travel Memory: We booked a boat tour in the Faroe Islands and ended up being the only people that signed up! Photographing the puffins, seals, & whales on that tour was so memorable.
Owen
Hi I’m Owen! I’m originally from Pennsylvania and moved out west to Arizona in 2019 to become a school teacher. Mary & I met in 2019 and got married in October 2022! I love going on travels with Mary & our dogs, Emma & Kopa. I’m enjoying learning to use the camera more often on our travels & I love any place that has sandy beaches & good food (and of course, soccer)!
I’m a huge US Men’s National Team & Arsenal FC fan. I was a swimmer in college and now enjoy being a swim and soccer coach!
Favorite Destination: Sweden

Best Travel Memory: Attending a home game at Emirates Stadium – Mary surprised me with tickets!
Kopa
Hi I’m Kopa! My mom & dad rescued me in May 2020 from the Maricopa County Animal Shelter (hence the name, Kopa). I was a stray in the hot streets of Phoenix, AZ until I was rescued by Owen. I was so timid and scared when I was first adopted but now I have so many friends at the dog park and get my belly rubbed whenever I want.
Within the first month that I was adopted, the three of us did a cross country road trip from Phoenix, AZ to Harrisburg, PA. I saw so many amazing places just within the first few months of my new life as a Davis. When mom & dad were dating long distance, dad & I would often drive 12 hours straight one way to go see mom so I’m kind of a pro at long car rides.
My favorite part of traveling is experiencing new places to nap!
Emma
Hi I’m Emma! My mom & dad rescued me in October 2020 from the El Paso County Canine Rescue in Colorado Springs! For the first 2 years of my life I was tied up in a lady’s back yard in New Mexico with no name & no attention. I lived with my mom in Colorado until we both moved to Arizona to be with my dad & brother, Kopa. I’m a little shy around strangers and can be a bit sassy at times but if you give me a treat I’ll love you forever. I love going on rides in the car and sticking my head out the window. Whenever we go to dog parks, the boys always chase me because I’m so pretty (but I like the attention).
My favorite part of traveling is getting to experience new dog parks and trying new foods!
