A Weekend in Falmouth, Massachusetts

Enjoy a memorable weekend in Falmouth, Massachusetts, the perfect coastal town on Cape Cod! Cape Cod is a hook-shaped peninsula comprising many towns, Falmouth being one of them! When I think of the Cape, I imagine the beautiful weathered grey homes, bright white lighthouses, and a cool breeze blowing off the ocean. Relax knowing you have this personalized itinerary for a weekend in Falmouth, Massachusetts to follow!

HOW TO GET TO FALMOUTH

You will need a car to get to Falmouth! Cape Cod is located about 1.5 hours east of Providence, Rhode Island, and 1.5 hours south of Boston, Massachusetts.

You will most likely fly into Boston Logan International Airport or Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport. You can rent a car when you arrive at either airport!

WHERE TO STAY

Falmouth has many hotels and vacation rentals to choose from. It can be quite pricey so save accordingly! For a two-night stay, you should expect to spend an average of $130 per night for a decent hotel.

WHEN TO VISIT

We were in Falmouth at the beginning of October a week before things began to close for the season! It was still a great time to visit since there were fewer tourists and the weather was not too chilly.

The best time to visit Falmouth is between April to early October.

WHAT TO EAT

You can’t visit Cape Cod without having some seafood!

Friday (Day 1): Arriving on the Cape

Cross Over the Bourne or Sagamore Bridge

Two bridges will bring you to the Cape, the Bourne Bridge and the Sagamore Bridge! Both bridges are beautiful and will excite you even more for your weekend in Falmouth.

Once you check into your hotel or wherever you are staying, go to downtown Falmouth. Now is a great time to stretch your legs and go for a walk around town. You’ll find many clothing boutiques, bookstores, coffee shops, restaurants, home decor shops, and more! When we were in Falmouth during the second week of October, many shops were having “end-of-the-season” sales, so depending on the time you visit you might snag some deals.

Before you visit, check out the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce website here to see if any special events are happening!

If you need a quick pick-me-up, stop by Coffee Obsession for a hot coffee!
